Mahindra to Bring Out the 300cc Mojo by March 2015
Mahindra, who recently launched the 110cc Gusto in India, is now planning to launch a 300cc motorbike called Mojo in India. The bike is expected to come out by the end of financial year 2015 which means we might see it on the roads by March of next year.
The Mojo will take on the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 300R, the Honda CBR250R and the KTM Duke 390. It will be great to have a home grown sports bike on the streets.
Mojo will be powered by a single cylinder, 295cc, four-stroke engine. The engine has four valves, double overhead camshafts and liquid cooling. Mahindra claims the peak power of the bike is 26 hp, and a peak torque stands at 25 Nm from the bikes fuel injected engine. The bike has a 6-speed manual transmission. The bike weighs in at 165 kilograms.
Right now Mojo is going through its final phases of approval but it seems like its homecoming on Indian roads will possibly depend on its performance. It has been in the pipeline for almost four years now.
