Honda Jazz and City Diesel Launch Confirmed for India in 2014

The Honda Jazz and City diesel launch has been confirmed for India in 2014. Honda City will receive a complete facelift and comes with two engine options a 1.5 liter i-VTEC and newly developed 1.5 liter i-DTEC, which powers the Amaze. However, the output of this engine might be different from the one given in Amaze. Honda Jazz which is already launched in Japan for a starting price of Rs 8.35 lakh.

Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing said “We are planning to create a new segment, we call it crossover utility vehicle Also our most preferred car City will be launched in diesel variant it would hit Indian roads in 2014. It will be launched in Japan in November and will come to India in 2014.” Commenting on why Honda preferred to pitch the diesel version of Amaze before City, he said “Though we have the technology but we could not fit the Amaze diesel engine in the City. So we have to launch new City. The Jazz will also be launched in new look.”
