BMW to Unveil New 7 Series and X1 at Auto Expo 2016
BMW will soon launch the all-new 7 Series luxury sedan and the new X1 in India. Both these cars will be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016. The company says that the new BMW 7 series will be a vehicle with, ‘unmatched luxury and technical innovation’, without sacrificing on dynamic performance.
The BMW X1 which will also be unveiled to Indian buyers at the Auto Expo on the other hand, will offer ‘sturdy proportions, impressive versatility, and premium characteristics.’Both these additions to the lineup of BMW cars will be unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo in the presence of the cricketing genius, Sachin Tendulkar.
The new BMW 7 Series almost a 100kg lighter but still manages to be marginally bigger in size and loaded with more equipment than its predecessor. The new BMW 7 series will be available in three trims, the 750Li petrol, the 740Li petrol and the 730Ld diesel. It will come with The diesel variant which the company expects to be a great seller, will come with a 265PS/620Nm 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine.
The BMW X1 which will also see a refreshed model make way to the Auto Expo 2016 now looks bolder than its predecessor. It gets new LED headlights and grille as well as new wraparound LED tail lamps. The new X1 will come with front wheel drive option only for now. This new SUV will be offered in one petrol and three diesel variants. The BMW X1 will be powered by BMW’s 2.0-litre TwinPower turbo engines that put out 150PS of power.
