Next-Gen Ford Endeavour to Launch in India Tomorrow

American car maker Ford is all set to bring a new entrant to the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) market. Ford, which has to its credit an SUV in the Ford Endeavour, will unveil to eager customers in India the new generation Endeavour which the company had promised in 2015. After tasting success with the Figo Aspire sedan, and Figo hatchback, this will be the third automobile launch for Ford in the 2015-16 fiscal year.

Endeavour which in its last avatar came with imposing dimensions, and nice interiors, looks set to take things up a notch by bringing to the market an all-new design, and feature set that are believed to make it the best in the segment.

The 2016 Endeavour takes things up from where the last Endeavour left off, merging seamlessly the identity of its predecessor with the new age design. The broad chrome grille at the front gives it a typical American SUV look. The bumper design with a very prominent silver skid plate that extends to house the LED fog lamps also helps to add to the macho look.

The new generation Ford Endeavour will come with two engine variants. One would be 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine while the other a 3.2-litre 5-cylinder diesel engine. The smaller 2.2-litre engine will produce 160PS of power and 385Nm of torque, and will go on sale with a manual transmission. The beefier 3.2-litre machine will churn out 200PS of power and an impressive 470Nm torque. This variant will come equipped with the AWD option and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The pricing of the new age Ford Endeavour which will take on the Toyota Fortuner and the recently launched Chevrolet Trailblazer in the crowded premium SUV space is expected to be priced around the Rs 25 lakh mark
