2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid to Launch Soon: Specs and Price
2016 will see a new hybrid car from Toyota. The Japanese carmaker will soon launch the 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The new crossover will be Toyota’s eight hybrid and the most fuel efficient of the lot. It will also top the performance levels of all its predecessors, according to CNET.
Talking about the RAV4 Hybrid, the car is powered by a non-turbocharged, 2.5-litre four cylinder engine and produces a horsepower of 194, and 2016 pound-feet of torque. The car will also have an EV Mode switch, which will let the driver run the car on battery for about 0.6 miles at 25 mph.
In terms of design, the RAV4 is a sleeker and sharper looking model compared to its predecessors. The headlights are thinner, the taillights have been upgraded and a new shark-fin antenna is featured at the rear end.
Not much has changed inside the car, except for the revised cupholders, 12-volt outlet and LED console lights. The car will also sport a 4.2 TFT display while the XLE trim will feature a 6.1-inch touch screen infotainment system.
The 2016 Toyota RAV4’s XLE trim will also have a phone-based navigation and will be available at a starting price of $28,370. The release date of the new crossover has not yet been revealed.
