BMW Announces the Stylish New MINI Convertible
BMW has announced the new MINI Convertible that will go on sale in March 2016. It’s the newest addition to the first and only premium convertible line in the small car segment. The new MINI Convertible continues the MINI tradition with classic MINI design. The MINI Convertible is an open-top four-seater that combines sportiness, efficiency, comfort, functionality, safety, connectivity and quality. Here’s what makes the MINI Convertible:
Design
The MINI has a distinct design that makes it noticeable from afar. The new MINI Convertible continues the same design elements, featuring circular headlamps and rear lights with chrome surrounds, hexagonal radiator grille, black peripheral body surround, and side turn indicator elements all scream out classic MINI. It also comes with a large selection of body finishes including a new Caribbean Aqua as shown below.
Of course, at the end of the day the MINI Convertible is all about the ‘convertible’. You also get a Union Jack printed textile with the MINI Yours variant. The roof and side windows can open and close even at speeds up to 30 km/h.
On the inside you have a characteristic design with a horizontally structured cockpit, circular or elliptical contours for displays, air vents and door trim elements; display and operating concept including instrument panel on the steering column, central instrument with new functions, optional LED lighting display and a red start/stop button at the centre of the toggle switch bar.
