Audi Launches the S5 Sportsback, A First in its Segment in India

Audi has launched the S5 Sportback in India. The S5 is the first in its segment in the country and is priced at Rs. 62.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Sportsback is powered by 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine that produces a whopping 333 bhp and 440 Nm of torque. The S5 Sportback claims to be efficient and Audi India head Joe King reassures that by saying,”The Audi S5 Sportback is an extremely attractive proposition for customers desiring sportiness with practicality. The Audi S5 Sportback brings cutting edge technology in an efficient, sporty and powerful style while ensuring an exhilarating driving experience with no compromise on fuel efficiency.”

The car has a seven speed dual clutch system as well as the Quattro 4 wheel drive system for superior grip over the road. The Sportsback can launch from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. With the amount of power that the S5 generates, it manages to give a decent 12.3 km/l fuel efficiency.

Coming to the looks of the car, the S5 Sportback shows elegance. It comes with horizontal chrome struts, a honeycomb grille in the air inlets with dual chrome trim, body-coloured sill moldings and the headlamps get LED DRLs. The interiors feature Alcantara leather seats with a leather-covered, flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Other features include a 7-inch MMI Navigation system, Bang & Olufsen Sound System with a total of 14 speakers, Audi Parking System Plus with rear-view camera. The Audi also gets 8 airbags for safety.
