Tesla Will Launch Model X On September 29th
Tesla has booked the 29th of September for the launch of its Model X. The invites have been sent out and the event will take place at Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California.
The much awaited Model X, an electric sports utility vehicle, is Tesla’s third car, and the company is looking to keep the price range similar to its previous Model S sedan, which means it will be a pricey affair. The price options for the Model X are expected to be revealed at the launch. Early deposit holders were invited by the company to explore the specs of the vehicle on a private site, but only for the limited edition, fully loaded “Signature” model. Customers that have “signature reservations” were allowed to pick the details of the car like like paint colours and wheel size.
Whether or not the Model X is built for the masses will be known once the price range is revealed. However, Tesla has confirmed that it plans to deliver between 50,000 and 55,000 cars—both the Model X and the Model S— this year.
As of now not much has been revealed about the Model X except for bigger interiors and unique “falcon doors”. More will be known after the launch event on the 29th of September. Follow this space for more on the Model X.
