BMW Launches Updated Mini Countryman in India
BMW has been making quite a lot of updates in its line of automobiles. The German car maker launched an updated version of its premium compact car Mini Countryman in India, today. BMW introduced the Mini as a small car premium, back in 2012 and has three models under it- the Mini 3-door, the Mini 5-door, the Mini Convertible and the Mini Countryman.
The small car is powered by a 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine with an output of 112bhp and a maximum torque of 270Nm. It is capable of accelerating from 0-100Km/hr in 11.3 seconds with a top speed of 185Km/hr. It has a 6-speed Steptronic transmission stand, but it also allows the driver to take over manual control or gear settings using optional shift paddles.
The insides consists of 6 airbags, 3-point seat belts, Dynamic Stability Control including Dynamic Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist and Run-flat indicator. Exterior redesigning constitutes a modeled bonnet, redesigned hexagonal grille, increased ground clearance, short extensions, xenon headlamps with LED fog lamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The new Mini Countryman is priced at Rs 36.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and will arrive here in India via CBU (Completely Built Up). Other than this, BMW has also announced a revised price list for the Mini range of India- MINI Cooper D 3-Door: Rs. 28.50 lakh; MINI Cooper D 5-Door: Rs. 31.90 lakh; MINI Cooper S 3-Door: Rs. 31.50 lakh; MINI Cooper Convertible: Rs. 33.90 lakh; MINI Cooper D Countryman: Rs. 36.50 lakh.
