The Classic Toyota Camry Hybrid Arrives in India With All New Features
Toyota, the Japanese car-making company, along with the Kirloskar Group, have introduced a new make of its sedan, Camry. This one is a hybrid facelift of its current petrol variant Camry.
The new hybrid has a massive front end bumper with lines of chrome, along with trapezoidal headlights. The front fascia also gets new LED-infused headlights, large air intakes and chrome-surrounded rectangular shaped fog lamps. On the inside, the sedan receives a new multi-functioning steering wheel, a 4.2-inch colour TFT display, a new infotainment system, to name a few changes. The sides remain faithful to its original design, added a newly designed alloy wheels for a sporty look.
In its terms of performance, the hybrid has the same 2.5-litre motor that delivers 160PS. The petrol variant gives out an 181PS on the same engine. Hence, for boosting it up a little, a 143PS electric motor is also installed to bump up the total power output to 205PS. While the petrol variant has a 6-speed sequential shift automatic, the hybrid is mated with an electronically controlled CVT.
The Toyota Camry hybrid is available in India and is priced at Rs. 31.92 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
