Audi India to Officially Launch The 2015 Audi TT Coupe on 23rd April
Audi India will be bringing the next-generation 2015 Audi TT to India on 23rd of April. This third-gen car was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show and is already on sale globally. Audi India has been spotted testing the TT on Indian soil quite a number of times last year.
The 45 TSI is the only variant that will be available in India. The design of the new Audi TT coupé is inspired from the Audi R8, hence giving it an aggressive look. It is also marginally longer in terms of length and wheelbase. It is 50kg to 70kg lighter than the previous models and is based on the MQB platform.
The 45 TSI variant is powered by a 2-litre turbo petrol and India will the 230PS/370Nm tune, otherwise globally available in the 310PS/380Nm version as well. It is also fitted with a 6-speed transmission and Audi’s all-wheel drive system. Brand new interiors include a 12.3 inch digital Nvidia Tegra 30 GPU powered instrumentation cluster, Bang and Olufsen 12 Speakers and a new multi-function bottom flat steering wheel. The 2015 TT catapults to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and hits a top-speed of 253 km/h.
Audi India has said that they will be launching one new product each month for the next five months, with Audi TT Coupe kickstarting the programme. The TT will be imported as a CBU from Audi’s plant in Hungary. Its price is expected to be approximately Rs. 60-70 lakhs (ex-Showroom). Audi India is also considering the TT diesel version that combines a sportscar with a economy of a 2.0-litre TDI engine.
