Mercedez Benz Unveils the E-Class Cabriolet and CLS-Class Facelift in India
Mercedez Benz has a vast array of hot wheels in the luxury car segment. Today, the German automobile manufacturer expanded the division in India with the launch of two models – E-Class Cabriolet and CLS-Class Facelift. The former one is a two-door offering a soft convertible top, priced at Rs. 78.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The CLS-Class is a face-lifted four-door coupe which comes with a price tag of Rs 76.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The E-Class Cabriolet is fitted with a powerful 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine that churns out 338PS of power and 480Nm of torque. The car can reach from 0-100kmpl in just 5.3 seconds and offer the maximum velocity of 250kmpl. The E-Class Cabriolet features a 7-speed gearbox which is automatic along with paddle shifters.
The exterior of E-Class Cabriolet gets an upgrade. It has got a muscular bumper along with a lengthy beltline. The interior is also redesigned to give maximum comfort to the customers. It boasts a 7-inch infotainment screen, 14-speaker surround sound system by Harman Kardon, satellite navigation system, a 360-degree camera for parking package and an Active Parking assistance.
The CLS-Class Facelift, on the other hand, has a four-cylinder diesel engine of 2.1 litres that produces 207PS of power and 500Nm of torque. This model too has a 7-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and Airmatic suspension.
The exterior of CLS-Class is tweaked majorly and flaunts a diamond studded grille, a new set of multispoke alloys, and fresh lighting technology. The bumpers are refurbished with gaping air dams. The headlamps are Multibeam LED that can be controlled as per the requirement of the driver.
The interior of the car features an 8-inch infotainment screen, 14-speaker surround sound system by Harman Kardon, internet, a 360-degree camera, Active Parking assistance, and satellite navigation system. Safety has been taken care of in the CLS-Class Cabriolet ABS, Brake Assist, ESP, ASR, Hill Start Assist and Attention Assist together with eight airbags.
