Hyundai Set to Launch the i20 Active Crossover on March 17th
Hyundai had unveiled the all new Elite i20 last year with redesigned exteriors. The company has gone back to its design board and has come out with the Hyundai i20 Active which gets beefed up exteriors that feels more like a compact SUV than a hatchback.
The i20 Active will be officially launched on the 17th of this month and Hyundai has sent out the invites for the event. The car will join the other cross styled cars such as the Fiat Avventura, Volkswagen Cross Polo and the Toyota Etios Cross.
The exteriors of the i20 Active are based on the Elite 120. The car is based on the same platform but the cross designing has beefed up the exteriors that make the car appear more muscular. The unique boomerang shapped tail lamps will be carried forward on the new i20.
On the interiors, the car is expected to feature a sporty look to march up with the meaty exteriors. It is expected to offer gear shift indicators, height adjustable driver’s seat, cooled glove-box, 2-Din audio system with 1 GB internal memory, climate control system, cruise control, a second power outlet, reverse parking assist, clutch lock etc.
The car is expected to be priced between 6-11 lakhs. With this competitive price tag, the i20 Active can be a mighty contender in the crossover segment of the Indian car market.
