Tata Launches its All New Hatchback Bolt for Rs. 4.4. Lakh
Tata Motors has finally launched its new hatchback, the Bolt in India. The car is a part of the companies HorizonNext program through which it intends to refresh its product portfolio. The Bolt seems to be carrying the legacy of the Vista forward.
The Tata Bolt was first introduced at Auto Expo 2014. It comes in Petrol and Diesel variants. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2 litre turbocharged multi-point fuel injection (MPFi) engine Revotron. It will churn out a maximum power of 90 PS and have a week peak torque of 140 Nm.
On the other hand, the diesel variant, which will come with a 75 Ps engine that will deliver 190 Nm torque. This is the first hatchback to feature a multi-drive function that lets you select between sports, eco and city modes.
The Bolt comes with the ninth generation ABS by Bosch, which improves its braking efficiency. The car also has corner stability control (CSC) feature that prevents the car from skidding in corners and prevent roll-overs, thus providing enhanced safety.
The car is available in 4 variants; XE, XM.XMS and the XT. The petrol versions of the Bolt will range from Rs 4.44 lakh to Rs 6.05 lakh while the diesel variant will be available in a range of Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
