Nissan Launches Compact MPV, Datsun Go+ in India With an Aggressive Price Tag
Japanese auto maker Nissan has brought out a multi-purpose vehical (MPV) for the Indian market which is an extension of their popular hatchback Datson Go. Aptly named as the Datson Go+, this MPV is meant for the buyers who are looking for a bigger car, but on a budget.
The Go+ is under 4 meters in length and hence qualifies for lower excise duty. But even with that length it provides 30% more boot space thanks to its MPV design factor.
The Datson Go+ is powered by 1.2 liter petrol engine and offers 5 speed transmission. There are no diesel variants of this car though. The smaller engine will also be light on your wallet. It has 5+2 seating space although getting to the back seat may take a bit of an effort.
The company calls it “an innovative product, which fulfills the Indian car buyer’s need of maximum comfort, space, fuel efficiency and active safety.”
Nissan Datson Go+ can become a serious challenger to the lower segment of the Indian car space. It is priced between Rs 3.79 lakh to Rs 4.61 lakh which makes it a mouth-watering deal. Maybe the success of this affordable MPV would lead to more similar products in the market.
