Tesla’s Roadster Geared Up for an Update, to Offer a 400 Mile Range on a Single Charge
News of the Roadster firmware update is finally here, and according to Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk, the latest update will be hitting the Roadster soon. This allows the car a 400 mile range – enough to drive from LA to San Francisco on a single full charge.
The real life Tony Stark, Mr.Leon Musk conveyed the message in a short but precise Tweet:
Roadster upgrade will enable non-stop travel from LA to SF — almost 400 mile range. Details tmrw. Merry Christmas!
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 25, 2014
Musk earlier mentioned that ‘several crisis issues’ pushed back the announcement longer than expected. The Roadster was Tesla’s first car produced between 2008 to 2012, and is currently out of production. Musk pointed earlier this year that upgrades were coming for the Roadster before the year end, though he didn’t specify a date.
Meanwhile, more updates have been promised for tomorrow from Musk himself. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated.
