Mercedes Teases its New ‘AMG Sport’ Lineup

Mercedes just bagged the Formula One World Constructors’ Championship (WCC), and what could be a better way to celebrate this milestone than unveiling its new range of four-wheel drive ‘AMG Sport’ cars. This will take the fight to Audi’s S4, BMW’s M range along with Jaguar’s F Type.

These models will be placed in between the plethora of Mercedes Benz models and the full-throttle AMG models. It’s an attempt on the company’s part to make the AMG brand and its technology more accessible. Hence, the new ‘AMG Sport’ will sit right below the fully blown AMG models and just above the simple AMG Sport cars.

These new AMG Sport models will be revealed at the Detroit Motor Show in January.

The German automobile giant is targeting a mammoth sales figure of over 64,000 by 2017 with the introduction of its new AMG Sport lineup. The CEO further added that the company is aiming to double the total sales of 2013 in the next three years.
