Mercedes-Benz’ New Concept Car Harvests Wind and Solar Energy
German automobile behemoth Mercedes-Benz showcased the Vision G-Code concept car that left everyone mesmerised at the recently held R&D base opening event. The G-Code is not just all about looks, it comes loaded with state-of-the-art technology.
The Mercedes-Benz Vision G-Code is based on a solar technology concept that comes with multi-voltaic silver paint finish, making it capable of harvesting solar and wind energy. The car is expected to officially unveil at the 2104 Los Angeles Auto Show. Meanwhile, there is no information regarding its technical specs, though it is believed that the car will be based on cutting-edge turbocharged combustion engine that runs on hydrogen.
Coming to its external dimensions, the Mercedes-Benz Vision G-Code concept features length of about 4,100 mm, 1,900 mm width and a height of about 1,500 mm. According to sketches, the production version is likely to sport LED headlamps and tail-lamps, bold twin grille and massive wheel arches that can house huge 2.1-inch wheels.
