Fiat Avventura to Arrive in India on 21st October
Fiat India has officially announced the launch of the highly awaited crossover, the Avvventura on October 21 in New Delhi. The car will be available in petrol and diesel and will be available in seven variants. It is made on the same lines as the Etios Cross and Cross Polo, however what makes Avventura different is the additional body kit and 16-inch alloy wheels. Taking inspiration from the Punto hatchback, the crossover has more ground clearance with a bigger and fatter wheel base, making it appropriate for Indian roads.
There will be two engine options available for the new Avventura, a 90PS 1.4 litre petrol and the 90PS 1.3 litre MultiJet diesel, with a five speed manual transmission.
Dubbed as a‘contemporary urban vehicle’ (CUV), the Avventura cross-over has been designed in Italy bearing in mind the Indian road conditions. It is expected to cost around Rs. 6-8 lakhs. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India Operations President and Managing Director Nagesh Basavanhalli, said the Avventura has “both a rugged feel of an off-roader and for city use and best-in-class clearance with several features as standard.”
The Avventura might also come in an automatic variant along with the regular manual transmission. Reports suugest that the Crossover will be powered by a 1.4 litre FIRE Petrol engine, meanwhile the diesel variant will be powered by a 1.3 litre multi-jet engine. The overall design of the vehicle is quite spruced up with multi utility roof rails on top.
