Mercedes-Benz E 350 CDI set to Launch on September 11

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed recently that it will expand the E-class range in India with new E 350 CDI model. The launch for the new saloon has been slotted for September 11 and will be held in Pune.

The updated E-Class will get both petrol and diesel variants, and a top-of-the-line E 63 AMG variant. The E-Class is available with 2.0-litre petrol engine in E200, 2.1-litre diesel engine in E250 CDi and the performance variant E63 AMG with 5.5-litre V8 petrol.

With the introduction of peppier diesel engine, the luxury car manufacturer is targeting to tap the increasing demand of diesel enthusiasts by giving them a twin turbocharged V6 engine as the new heart of E-Class.

The Mercedes Benz E 350 CDI will be power by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine capable of making 231bhp and 55kgm of torque, mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The front profile of new E-Class will get new 2-louvre radiator grille with the company’s three pointed star logo placed in center.

The rectangular tailpipe trims are integrated in the rear bumper and the vehicle rides on 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, E 350 CDi embraces panoramic sunroof, Designo leather upholstery, new infotainment system and thermotronic automatic climate control.

The new E 350 CDI will also features Intelligent Drive technology which offers superior control for better safety. Other features included in the saloon are Lane Keeping Assist, Cross Traffic Assistant, blind spot warning and adaptive headlamps.

The new saloon is expected to launch in Rs. 58 Lakh price range.
