New Generation BMW X3 Hits India Today At A Price Of Rs 44.9 Lakhs
The BMW X3 has been in India since 2011, and today will see some upgrades coming its way. Most of the upgrades have been visual like all the other cars in this season of facelifts. The engine has received a tune up with this one. They will be available in two variants; The xDrive 20d Expedition and xDrive 20d xLine.
The car’s visual remodeling is quite apparent. The X3 gets new front and rear and exterior mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators. It also gets twin circular headlights and a striking kidney grille.
Internally the X3 gets chrome accented premium interiors. There are coverable cup holders and new paneling too. The optional navigation system too is re-engineered and comes with an HVAC display.
Under the hood of the BMW X3, you will find the same 2 litre diesel engine as its predecessor. This time it received a tune up to increase its power as well as efficiency. The engine is capable of power output of 190 bhp and 400 Nm of torque on the xDrive all-wheel drive (AWD) models.
The xDrive 20d Expedition has been priced at Rs. 44.90 Lakh(Ex-showroom, Delhi), and the xDrive 20d xLine will come at a price of Rs. 49.90 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). It will take on the likes of Audi Q5 and the Land Rover Freelander 2. This car surely has potential to take on the competition, let’s wait and see how it works out India.
