Nissan Launched an Evalia MPV Facelift in India
The new Evalia variant comes at the same price of existing model which is Rs. 8.5 lakh and Rs. 10.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Japanese company has officially introduced the 2014 Nissan Evalia MPV in India. However, Nissan will be officially launching the Evalia facelift on the 1st of August.
Apart from the new V-shaped chrome grill with the Nissan logo on it, there are no changes on the exterior of the car. In fact, it almost looks like the old model. Changes are more inside the cabin. It now comes with fax-wood panels, captain seats in the middle row, new floor mats, revised glove-box compartment and tilt adjustable steering wheel. The AC unit too has been incorporated on the roof.
There are no mechanical changes made to the car. Like the old model, the 2014 Nissan Evaliva is powered by a 1.5-litre K9K diesel motor which produces 86PS of power and 200NM torque, together with a 5-speed manual transmission, and with a claimed fuel-economy of 19.3 kmpl. The upgraded Nissan Evalia is being offered in six variants. The base version 2014 Nissan Evalia XE is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh and comes with ABS, EBD and BA safety features. It also gets a basic multi-functional display, central locking, immobilizer, 60:40 split foldable second row and 50:50 split foldable third row seats.
The 2014 Nissan Evalia XE+ has a price tag of Rs 8.99 lakh and has additional features like an audio system with front and rear speakers, and dual front airbags. At Rs 9.77 lakh the 2014 Nissan Evalia XL also offers roof air conditioning vents for rear passengers, keyless entry, a better 2 Din audio system and front power windows. Changes made to the Evalia are minimal and only serve to keep the MPV up to date.
