Tata Bolt and Zest Test Mules Being Used as a Marketing Gimmick
Tata Motors is betting big on the Bolt hatchback and Zest compact sedan which are due for a launch soon. The two were showcased back in February and the two will help Tata get back in the volumes game. It has quite high hopes from them and doesn’t want to miss out on any possible chance to promote these. That is the reason the twins have been caught on test on numerous occasions with a camouflage post the official unveil.
But the interesting bit is the camouflage that they have been adorning. The Zest and Bolt camouflage is covered with their names written all over them. You’d wonder why is that so if they are trying to hide something. Truth be told, Tata is not hiding them but instead using this and promoting them all over the country. When a person sees a vehicle in camouflage, he/she definitely gets curious about it. And seeing the fact that the camouflage has the name of the vehicle, the person spotting gets curious and searches for more information online.
This way Tata has been able to keep the buzz going around the two cars throughout our nation. It has also been sponsoring various events to promote them. The test mules are being tested all over the country, and spyshots of them have become more like regular press shots since either of the two are caught on test once or twice every week in some or the other part of the nation. It is quite an interesting marketing gimmick being undertaken by Tata Motors to inform more and more people about them and heighten their curiosity.
The Zest and Bolt will be powered by a 1.2 litre Revotron petrol motor which has power figures of 85 PS – 140 Nm and a 1.3 litre Fiat Multijet which has power figures of 90 PS – 200 Nm. An AMT transmission will make its way on to the diesel variants as well of the two cars which would be a segment first. Tata Motors is betting big on these two and is concentrating all its marketing efforts to promote them. We hope that the two live up to the hype and Tata Motors is able to back its claims of the twins being better than their competitors.
Here comes another vehicle of moderate cost that could be seen running on Indian roads soon enough.
